Chairs' Guide to MUNware
Your Account
The first thing that you will have to do as a chair to use the MUNware platform will be to log in to your account. This account will have been provided to you by the conference organization, and it will be an username and a password. Do not share these credentials with anybody who is not a chair in your committee.
In order to log in, you will first have to navigate to the main page of the conference. Here, you should click the "Log in" button. You will be transferred to a page where you will enter you credentials. After doing so and clicking the "Enter" button, you should see a "You have been logged in" message.
Uploading a Resolution
To upload a resolution, you have to have the resolution open in Google Docs, in a document that no delegate has the link to. You should do this by pasting the resolution into the document that will have been given to you.
In order to upload the resolution to the platform, you have to go to the "Add Resolution" page, and you will need two things.
Firstly, you should have a sharing link to the document. The document should be in "Anyone with the link is an editor" mode. To do this, from the Google Doc, press the "Share" button on the top right. Then, click on "Restricted" and select "Anyone with a link". Then, click on "Viewer" and select "Editor". Then, click on "Copy link", and paste the copied link into the "Edit link" field in the platform.
Secondly, you need to have an embed link. To do this, from the Google Doc, from the bar on top, click File, then Share, then Publish to web. This will open a window. In that window, click Embed, then Publish, and then copy the text that it gives you. It should start with the text "<iframe src=". Paste that text into the "Embed Link" field, and then press the "Enter" button. This will have created the resolution.
Submitting to the Approval Panel
Each resolution has its own page. You can access this page by navigating to the Committee List, then finding your committee, and then finding the resolution. Here, if the resolution's status is "Draft", you should see a "Submit to Approval Panel" button (If you don't, make sure that you are logged in and in the correct resolution).
Pressing this button will redirect you to a page that will ask for when you will need the resolution. Enter the day and the time and make sure to press "Submit". This will submit the resolution.
Amendments
In order to use amendments, you can edit the Google Doc (which you can access by pressing "Edit this resolution" on the resolution page). This will (in approximately a minute) update the resolution for the delegates. It is advised to transfer amendments to the resolution the moment you receive them, so that you can save time that would be used in transferring the changes.
Uploading Results
When you start debate, you can change the status of the resolution to "Debating". This will give delegates easy access to the resolution from the interface. When the debate is completed, you will change the status to either "Passed" or "Failed", depending on the results of the vote.
To change the status of a resolution, you need to be logged in, have access to the document, and from the resolution page, press "Settings", and then change the status from the dropdown.
